Within this framework, we are looking for an agile and highly-motivated “Embedded Software Engineer” to join a team of future shapers.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidates will be based in our subsidiaries in Patras or in our Athens' headquarters, and will be involved in the design, implementation, development testing, and support of IP/MPLS control plane software - embedded into our innovative packet microwave and millimeter-wave radio systems - used in front-haul and mobile backhaul transport of 3G/4G/5G networks, as well as in fixed wireless access broadband systems.

REQUIREMENTS

• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
• Experience in writing and testing networking SW
• Good understanding on Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols
• Good understanding and experience in IPv4 unicast and multicast routing
• Experience in UNIX network programming
• Strong C programming skills
• Development experience in Linux (processes, threads, inter-process communication, socket programming, kernel modules)
• Good knowledge of the GNU/Linux development environment (development, building, debugging, profiling, testing, version control and automation infrastructures)
• Very good knowledge of English (oral & written)

 

NICE TO HAVE

 

• Experience in any of: multithreaded application development, real-time systems programming, large scale, high performance and high availability systems
• Linux kernel space development and TCP/IP networking stack
• Comfortable with shell scripting and use of common scripting languages (e.g. Python)
• Experience in using network protocol analysers and traffic generators
