Senior R&D Network Verification Tester

Position Description

MME/SGSN NeVe Testing team is looking for a passionate NeVe Test engineer to join the local Athens team to test and verify the MME/SGSN software. The NeVe Testing team is responsible for all the network verification testing for all new features and releases of the product. The successful candidate will work with developers and testers as part of a global team which develops new versions for MME/SGSN and will be responsible for analyzing product requirements, designing overall test scope, implementing, automating and executing of test cases.

Key Responsibilities / Functions
 

• Act as lead tester and overall quality gatekeeper for MME/SGSN releases
• Work with developers and architects in order to understand and assist in defining new features
• Define overall feature testing scope and go through review rounds with all involved stakeholders
• Assist in coordinating overall feature and release testing with Entity and Stress testing teams
• Responsible for all network verification testing
• Responsible for test case design, execution, optimization, automation, defect reporting and tracking
• Responsible to come up with a wide list of test scenarios (sunny and rainy day) in order to cover the new functionality adequately
• Work with project managers in order to track critical and time-sensitive issues and ensure quick resolution
• Troubleshoot regressions issues and process defects as needed 

Qualifications
 

• BSc in Computer Science, Telecommunications or equivalent degree or work experience
• Strong technical background in telecommunications (preferably CCNA or CCNP certified), preferably in Packet Core
• At least 5 years of experience in e2e testing
• At least 3 years of experience in test script automation, Python, Perl, Bash
• Preferably proficient in 2G, 3G, 4G call flows and 3GPP specifications (and soon 5G)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Dedication and team spirit, self-motivated and ability of working independently
• Excellent verbal and written English
