Software Developer

ATHEX Group is currently looking for a talented Software Developer to join the Systems Development team. This position offers the chance to develop both technical and interpersonal skills, while gaining insight of the exchange industry.

Role purpose

Your primary responsibility will be to develop, maintain and support:

1. critical systems, consisting of several co-operating, distributed modules that ensure real-time data recording, retransmission and monitoring which have increased demands on performance and stability
2. online transaction systems (OLTP) as well as online analytical systems (OLAP) for data processing, storage and analysis

Role Accountabilities

• Participate in design and analysis of technical specifications
• Participate in the identification of technological requirements
• Software Implementation
• Perform testing scenarios design and testing implementation
• Perform maintenance, correction and optimization of applications
• Provide user support

Candidate’s Profile  

• BS degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or science degree in combination with a postgraduate degree in Information Technology
• Experience in C/C++ and/or Java programming languages  
• Experience in SQL language and preferably in PLSQL and/or T-SQL programming languages
• Experience in Data Analysis and Business Intelligence fields
• Experience in using integrated development and code management tools (Subversion, GIT)
• Knowledge of principles of Software Engineering and Object Oriented planning and programming technologies and methods
• Team player with strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Fluent in both Greek and English
• At least 2 years of professional experience in above fields
• Fulfilled military obligations (for men)

Desired Qualifications

• Experience in the field of financial applications
• Experience in application development, using web languages and APIs such as HTML, CSS and JSON /REST
